Welcome to Ichor

Welcome to Ichor! We are a medieval high fantasy rpg site taking place in a large country known as Valyria. We have a focus on high creativity and player freedom. Here all the characters are the descendants of fallen gods, ichor running in their veins. But not all of their children were so blessed. The Aetheri are powerful magic users, believed to be of a purer and more direct bloodline to a god, while the Temporals have little to no magic in their veins, a more diluted bloodline. The Council of Mithras is an ancient order believed to have been formed by the Mother herself. It is made up of both Temporals and Aetheri, meant to keep the peace, protect the alter sites around the country, interpret the voices of the gods, and purify any corruption. Their order has existed for thousands of years with only glory to their name. However, in recent years the Order of Malum arose, a corruption of deserters of the court, seeking more power for themselves. Stealing the ancient language of the gods, they discovered a rune that broke the powerful leylines that bridged these alter sites, severing the ichor bloodlines that ran through the very earth herself. The result of this cast the world into a deep darkness and severely weakened the use of magic, no matter their bloodline. It's unknown what they plan next, but it's up the Order of Mithras and all the Kingdoms of Valyria to band together and try to repair their broken world and their connection to the gods.
